|Alias(es)||Prince of Edenia|
|Affiliation||Edenian Military, Shao Kahn (formerly)|
|Fighting Styles||Zi Ran Men, Goju Ryu|
Rain is a minor villain from the Mortal Kombat franchise, acting as a former megalomanical assassin of Shao Kahn and the prince of Edenia.
Rain was once an Edenian prince who was adopted and trained by Edenia's army when Shao Kahn invaded the realm. A millennia later, Rain was defeated by Shao Kahn's warriors and was given a choice; serve Kahn or die. Rain chose the former and became one of Kahn's strongest warriors, but turned against the evil emperor when Kitana revealed he was the murderer of Rain's adopted father.
Though Rain makes no canonical appearance in the Mortal Kombat 2011 reboot, he was a playable as a downloadable character.
Personality and TraitsEdit
Due to Rain's absence from most Mortal Kombat games, his personality is barely evolved. However, he is portrayed as a power hungry tyrant.
Weapons and AbilitiesEdit
Trained by Edenia's strong forces, Rain is a master fighter and martial artist specializing in Zi Ran Men and Goju Ryu. Being a demi-god (half human, or in Rain's case Edenian, half god) Rain had far greater powers than most combatants including the ability to manipulate clouds, control water, and strike with lightning from the heavens. He can even teleport by morphing his bio-structure into water before reforming behind his opponent and also wields a bronze sword in combat, making him a deadly foe.
- Rain was intended to be a joke character, as he is a purple prince named Rain, referencing the Prince album Purple Rain.
